CALPE - Turquoise water and white sandy beaches - A place to fall in love with

Let yourself be enchanted and inspired by the charm of this beautiful town. Do not hesitate to visit Calpe.

Calpe (in Valencian: Calp) is a colourful town on the Spanish Mediterranean coast and is part of the beautiful Costa Blanca region. Calpe is located in the middle of the well-known cities of Valencia and Alicante; and thus offers good connections to their airports.

The town's landmark is the fascinating rock Penyal d'Ifac (Spanish: Peñon de Ifach), with a height of 332 metres. The Peñon de Ifach is a nature reserve and offers fantastic hiking trails and vantage points of the surrounding landscape and the Mediterranean Sea.

The town of Calpe is known, among other things, for its beautiful sandy beaches Playa Arenal Bol and Playa de la Fossa - beaches like in the Caribbean. At the end of Arenal Bol beach is an archaeological site from Roman times - the Baños de la Reina. In addition, there are other sandy beaches and coves such as Cala La Calalga, Cala del Mallorqui and Cala el Racó.
The historic, colourful old town of Calpe is also well worth a visit. Enjoy colourful art, lights, painted staircases in Spanish national colours like in Carrer de Puchalt, the church of Nuestra Señora de la Nieves (15th century), the medieval city wall with a defence tower, museums and delicious restaurants.

Enjoy the port of Calpe, very close to the famous Peñon de Ifach rock. Let yourself be enchanted by the taste of fresh seafood and real Spanish paella. Seafood fresh from the Lonja - the fish auction hall where the fishermen's catch is auctioned off from Monday to Friday.

The salt lake with its pink flamingos is also a nature reserve and invites you to take a walk and relax. The seawater saltworks were in operation until 1998, and salt was probably already extracted there in ancient times.

Calpe not only has a wide range of sights but also offers attractive leisure activities such as a catamaran cruise, day bus tours, golf courses, nautical clubs and much more. Children are also catered for - there is a children's family park right in the centre of Calpe as well as a funicular. Other amusement parks such as Terra Mitica, Aqualandia, Terra Natura are in the vicinity and only a few kilometres away.

A beautiful place, so versatile, so colourful, surrounded by beautiful coves and beaches, turquoise waters, charming towns and settlements. Come and see it for yourself.
